About
Hassan Shaikh is a South African‑born workplace strategist who brings over two decades of global experience to reimagining how people and organisations connect through space. With a foundation in architecture and design, he uses workplace strategy as a canvas to solve complex business challenges while creating environments that genuinely support human potential.
He leads global workplace transformation grounded in the principles of connection, belonging, and humanity. Hassan’s vision positions the workplace as more than a location for work, he sees it as a living system that connects people, enables belonging, and nurtures human potential. Through the lens of The Ubuntu Workplace, he advocates for environments that move beyond efficiency and activity toward meaning, inclusion, and shared experience.
With experience across biopharmaceuticals, aviation, retail, and design, Hassan has helped organisations rethink the workplace as a strategic driver of performance, culture, and well‑being. At Boehringer Ingelheim, he oversees the governance of global workplace projects within Real Estate & Facility Management, delivering people‑centred, scalable solutions that support hybrid work, sustainability, and evolving business needs. His work translates strategy into practical, high‑impact outcomes that align space, culture, and technology.
Earlier in his career, Hassan shaped workplace strategy within corporates and design consultancies across Europe and South Africa. He also founded and led his own consultancy, Revolve, for more than a decade, partnering with clients across workplace, retail, and hospitality. These experiences inform his approach as both a strategic leader and trusted advisor, balancing design, technology, and change to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Beyond his organisational work, Hassan has lectured in design and sustainability and is a regular speaker at industry conferences and leadership forums across Europe and South Africa. He is known for translating complex ideas into simple, actionable insights that leaders can apply. He is also the author of The Ubuntu Workplace, which reframes the workplace as a human‑centred, adaptive system rooted in connection, dignity, and shared experience.
For organisations seeking expertise in workplace transformation, collaboration, or keynote speaking, Hassan welcomes opportunities to connect.
